Issue 11 is Almost Here

It’s all been leading up to today. The choices we made, the people we met, the monsters we killed, it’s all been leading up to this moment. Issue 11 goes live for Grandmasters and Subscribers today.

But don’t get ahead of yourselves. As always things are never quite as simple as they seem.

Today is the early access launch available to Grandmasters and Subscribers only. Even if you have pre-ordered Issue 11 as part of the Fall of Tokyo pack if you aren’t a GM or Subscriber you’ll need to wait until Saturday the 9th before you can gain access to all the Tower has to offer.

The cost of the basic Issue Pack is expected to fall in line with previous Issues (about 1200 Funcom Points) with the Collectors Edition currently not having a price or announced content. If you are a GM you can set up Autobuy from your account page here which will allow you to go into “debit” and give you access to the new Issue even if you don’t have the points available.

You will need to have completed Issues 9 & 10 in Tokyo (as well as all previous story missions from other zones) in order to access the tower too, so if you still haven’t been through the Tokyo Subway and met Sarah yet then you will need to work extra hard to get caught up if you’re going to get into the Tower today.

But what do we know about the Issue? From the previous Monthly Development Letter we know that the Tower itself will feature randomly generated floors, meaning that each playthrough will be slightly different to the one you played before. We also know that the unlike most previous missions the Tower will have a one day cool down allowing us to explore it much more frequently. We’ve also been told we will finally see the outcome of the decisions we made earlier in the game.

I could speculate at length but I’d be bordering on TL details and possible spoilers so I’ll stay quiet for now. One thing is certain. The conclusion to this part of the story is bound to leave us with as many questions as it does answers.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to prepare to storm a tower…

The Otters Chat With Scrivnomancer

UPDATE 2: Today The Otters announced they will be running the Issue 11 content with Scrivomancer on the 13th May at 7pm EDT. Expect craziness and Spoilers.

UPDATE: As Beyond the Veil have done an interview with Tilty and Scrivomancer on the 7th Otterdown decided to withdraw this interview to avoid repetition.

Those sneaky Otters at Otterdown have got themselves an interview with The Secret World’s lead writer Scrivnomancer. We assume that after Cards Against Humanity it can’t be because they sold their souls 😉

Even if you don’t know the name you will have encountered Scrivnomancer’s writing. From the characters that we’ve come to know and love in TSW to the amazing Lore dispensed by The Buzzing he’s had more than a hand in it.

The interview will be taking place on the 11th of May 2015 at 7:30pm EDT (you can find the time in your timezone here ). That will give all players a chance to get through Issue 11 so expect there to be some spoilers.

And if you’ve got a question that you want to ask Scrivnomancer you  don’t have to go to the extremes of selling your soul or making Faustian bargains. Otterdown are asking for questions over at their website here

As always with Scrivnomancer interviews are always extremely random so you will want to make sure you tune in for this one.
